So somewhere I deal with just set up a secure FTP. They want me to test it out to make sure I can connect.
I try using Transmit...times out/hung up at server.
I try on FF...connection refused.
I try on Safari...no connection, Safari can not find server.
I try on FileZilla (which in my opinion is a piss-poor FTP client)...times out/hangs up at server.
So I email the person I am dealing with letting her know this. She says to call her so we can "work through it".
There is nothing to work through. Your shit is not working!
Sorry for the rant, have a Mirage Cyborg for your troubles.

I've used FileZilla with not real issues, what would you recommend instead?

Here at work I am on a Mac and a PC. I use Transmit on my Mac. I actually use FileZilla on my PC for other stuff. I think it just has too much going on, if that makes sense.
A guy I work with, who is also on a Mac, uses Fetch.

I figured it out. One little setting was off.
